The ARION is a long-pulsed alexandrite laser system with a wavelength of 755 nm. The ARION's main area of application is laser epilation. The system is also suitable for the treatment of superficial vascular alterations.
Operating the ARION Laser System
Convenient Switching between Treatment Modes
The ARION is not only suitable for epilation. Superficial
blood vessels can also be treated with this innovative laser system. Switching
between the two treatment modes is carried out by simply exchanging the
handpiece.
The device detects the proper treatment mode
automatically as soon as the handpiece is attached. Only the appropriate
parameters are offered on the display.
Simple: Spot Size Change
Spot size
adjustments for both treatment modes are carried out by simply sliding the
handpiece insert to the desired grid point. The ARION automatically recognizes
the selected spot diameter and automatically adjusts the energy density to the
new spot size. The treatment can thus be carried out in a single work step
without having to return to the device. This time-saving and simple procedure
also applies when working with the scanner.

Gentle: Burst Mode
The system's burst mode divides a single laser
'shot' into a series of short pulses. The time between the pulses' moments of
impact is sufficient for the skin to disperse heat. This allows one to keep the
temperature of the epidermis below a certain damage thresh-old. In contrast, the
target structures of epilation are not able to disperse the heat as quickly and
are thus permanently destroyed by the accumulated thermal effect. For the
patient this procedure means the greatest possible effectiveness and maximum
skin protection.
Ideal: Large Pulse Length Range
Given the different types of patient skin and hair, pulse-width selection
plays a crucial role in successful epilation. The ARION offers a large range of
pulse lengths - up to extremely long pulses of 50 milliseconds. The adjustable
pulse duration allows for safe epilation in patients with dark skin.
Efficient: Adaptable Cooling
The use of an external
forced air-cooling device during treatment usually requires the involvement of
an assistant staff member. By contrast, the ARION laser system can be connected
to the cooling device via an adapter to the handpiece as well as to the
scanner.
Fast and Effective: The Scanner for Large
Areas
The scanner enables one to treat large areas (e.g., on the back
or legs) quickly and effectively. Fast treatment times are possible given a
scanning surface of 60 x 65 mm and repetition rate of up to 5 Hz.
