It is second- generation intense pulsed light system, using broad-spectrum visible light. Our clinically proven implementation of the intense pulsed light technology is unique.

These are the reasons why:

Ellipse uses 'Dual Mode Filtering', which takes away those wavelengths which only cause heating of the water in the skin. The pigmented lesion treatment with the Ellipse Flex system treats a range of pigmented skin conditions. The target chromophore of a pigmented lesion is melanin in melanosomes. The melanocytes produce melanosomes this will be destroyed when heated up by the Ellipse Flex treatment. The intervals between the treatments depend on the time it takes for the treated area to heal. Typically 1-2 treatment are necessary for success.

Acne

Acne is caused by the body's increased production of the hormone androgen (produced by both men and women), which stimulates the sebaceous glands to produce more oil. The increased production of oil causes the pores to become blocked, so that the oil cannot come up to the skin surface. The acne itself is an infection caused by skin bacteria that feed on and break down this oil. As the bacteria multiply, waste products and sebacic acid are created, and the sebaceous gland becomes inflamed- causing what is known as a blackhead, a whitehead or a pimple. The Ellipse Acne treatment slows down the overproduction of oil that leads to acne. For best results the treatment should be used in conjunction with Differin®.
